5 Days Committee


5 Days University Of Manitoba is led by a team of 12 University of Manitoba students who work together to plan and run the campaign. The committee focuses on raising funds and awareness for youth experiencing homelessness, while bringing students and the campus community together around an important cause.

Vice President
The Vice President Community (VPC) oversees charity campaigns, volunteerism initiatives, and international engagement events offered by the CSA. The VPC leads and supports a team that includes the 5 Days Co-Chairs, Shinerama Co-Chairs, and International Engagement Co-Chairs, ensuring alignment across all community-focused initiatives.

Co-Chair
The 5 Days Co-Chairs lead 5 Days, the CSA’s annual charity campaign dedicated to raising funds and awareness for youth experiencing homelessness. They oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of the campaign throughout the winter term. They play a central leadership role in delivering major initiatives such as 5 Days Week, while supporting the overall direction and success of the campaign.

Director Of Marketing
The Director of Marketing oversees all marketing initiatives for 5 Days. Responsibilities include managing and updating all 5 Days social media platforms, content creation, website maintenance, and graphic design. This role ensures consistent branding, engagement, and online presence across all channels.
Shelly Yosef
Director Of Public Relations
The Director of Public Relations is a dynamic position focused on building awareness and visibility for the campaign. Shelly is responsible for securing media coverage, managing external communications, and strengthening the campaign’s public image throughout its duration.
Moyo Awe
Director Of Corporate Relations
The Director of Corporate Relations works closely with businesses and corporate partners to secure in-kind sponsorships, donations, and support for events and giveaways. Moyo also plans and coordinates the 5 Days Prize Basket Giveaway, helping maximize fundraising and community engagement.
Cassidy Turcan
General Coordinator
The General Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring smooth internal operations and clear communication. Cassidy is responsible for recording and distributing meeting minutes, ensuring instructions are clearly communicated to the team. The General Coordinator also organizes and monitors the January textbook sale and helps coordinate volunteer-based community events throughout the year

Event Coordinator
The Events Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing fundraising events throughout the campaign. They ensure events are well-coordinated, engaging, and aligned with the campaign’s goals.
